Bomb The Format 26
To bomb is a graffiti term: to paint or mark an area repeatedly.
Over time, these surfaces build up intricate patterns and energy: doorways, walls and street furniture.
Tarbox’s work takes this approach with artworks, bombing formats that we recognise, capturing the energy of music and the city within these imagined formats.
The latest works use religious imagery to create “bombed” shrines that challenge the far right’s use of Christianity to justify hatred and racism towards migrants, highlighting how this misuse of religious symbols distorts Christianity’s core values of love, compassion and acceptance.
This is the only type of bombing that is acceptable.
Bomb The Format - PV 5th Nov (6pm-8pm) Exhibition runs till 30th Nov.
